World's Best Cat Litter Charity on Facebook Donates 5,255 Lbs. of World's Best Cat Litter to Washington, D.C.-area Shelters on August 18th

Muscatine, IA - August 16, 2010 -- World's Best Cat Litter Charity will deliver over 5,000 pounds of free World's Best Cat Litter on August 18, 2010, to Washington, D.C.-area animal shelters per its 45-day Facebook contest, which launched on June 1st. Facebook fans voted daily at www.worldsbestcatlitter.com/charity for 1/10th-of-a-pound of cat litter per vote to be donated to one of three participating animal organizations, who placed in this order: Alley Cat Allies with Friends of Fairfax County Animal Shelter (FFCAS), Washington Humane Society (WHS) and Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL). The accumulated votes equaled a total donation of 5,255 lbs. of free World's Best Cat Litter.
